In addition to the exposure and reinforcement of new vocabulary, learning and performing another task in a target language, like exercise, helps bring together the elements of a new language by putting it into "real-life" contexts, encouraging the learner to produce and understand the language under different or more natural circumstances than a classroom would offer. The goal of this class is to give students an opportunity to learn, use, and practice French in a more immersive environment.
The session is 6 weeks, once a week on Tuesdays. It is designed for all levels of French and physical abilities, Samantha will adjust the course material and movements to each student and group based on their level.
Each class will consist of about 1 hour of Pilates and 30 minutes of French vocabulary and instruction, where you will learn the basics of the human body and movements. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions and interact with each other and the teacher in French.
Wear comfortable warm clothing that moves well when you stretch! No need for shoes or any special equipment, however you may choose to bring a yoga mat or similar if you have one.
