Experience some of the best French wine with an expert! Join the AFKC for a new series of wine classes with two passionate connaisseurs: an expert in wine and an exceptional French instructor.
On April 16th, 2023, Arnie Millan, the "Finest Wine Mind in Seattle," and Jean-Louis Bruyère, our AFKC French instructor, will host a class focused on the wines of the Rhône Valley. We'll explore their history, profiles, and esteem in the world wines. The Rhône Valley is home to some of France’s greatest wines, beginning with the ancient Greeks and Romans. Believe it or not, the Papacy moved here for a brief but unforgettable period, bringing great prestige to the area. In short, the Rhône Valley is a region with a wondrous past whose present achievements in wines attract the world’s attention. The wines and winemakers continue to exert a huge influence on wines being produced around the world, from Washington State to Australia and South Africa.
Join us for a tasting of five wines from the region’s greatest appellations.
The class will be conducted in French and English.
Cost per class: $55 for AFKC Members and $75 for Non-Members.
The class will be held on Sunday 4/16/2023 from 3 to 5 pm at Alliance Française de Kansas City, 8014 State Line Road, #210, Prairie Village KS 66208.
