Haute Cuisine - a true story

Date: Thursday, April 3rd

Time: 6:00 PM
Location: AFKC basement

Gratuit et réservé aux membres de l'Alliance Française de Kansas City.

This delicious French film is inspired by the true story of Danièle Mazet-Delpeuch, the personal chef to French President François Mitterrand. Haute Cuisine follows Hortense Laborie, a talented chef from the Périgord region, as she takes on the challenge of bringing authentic, home-style French cooking to the Elysée Palace. But in the world of high politics, even the finest cuisine comes with its share of obstacles!

Here’s how it works:

1️⃣ Watch the movie at home beforehand. It’s available for free streaming on Amazon Prime and Kanopy (accessible with a library card).
2️⃣ Join us for the discussion on April 3rd at 6 PM. Share your thoughts, interpretations, and favorite moments in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

RSVP now to secure your spot. Spots are limited.

Let’s dive into the world of cuisine, with this amazing woman.  See you there!
