Although the battle fronts in the First World War sometimes approached Paris and Berlin, the inhabitants of these cities experienced historical transformations in cultural and artistic life that connected to varying degrees with the war.
UMKC professors Scott Baker and Gayle Levy will discuss some of the most important of these transformations in each metropolis during the decade 1910-1920.
This program is free of charge. Feel free to dress casually and arrive early to guarantee a seat.
