"Unlocking the Great Pyramid," by Jean-Pierre Houdin

Step back 3,000 years with French architect Jean-Pierre Houdin and learn how the quest of one man, fascinated with the engineering feats of his Egyptian predecessors, embarked on a tireless journey toward unlocking the mysteries of Egypt’s Great Pyramid, Khufu.

Through the ages, the secret of how the largest pyramid was built has been lost. No written history exists from that era explaining its construction. How did they achieve such architectural perfection without modern day technology or manufacturing power? Relying on sophisticated 3D modeling technology, mechanical simulations and supportive engineering teams, Houdin spent several years developing a remarkable theory: What if the pyramid had been built from the inside out?

Jean-Pierre Houdin's theory, his decades of research and his stunning discoveries were featured in the National Geographic film, "Unlocking the Great Pyramid." He is co-author of "The Secret of the Great Pyramid," published by Smithsonian Books.

JCCC is proud to welcome Jean-Pierre Houdin, traveling from Paris, to be our special guest presenter April 27-28, 2016. His two distinct lectures are free and open to the public.
