Synopsis: Sentenced to six years in a French prison, Malik El Djebena is alone in the world and can neither read nor write. To get by, he aligns himself with a powerful Corsican mob boss, steadily working his way up through the ranks, until his success brings him into conflict with his mentor.

The monthly discussion will be lead by Aude Hebert. Aude has had a distinguished career in the promotion of French cinema, including positions with the Forum des Images, the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, the Paris Cinema International Film Festival, Unifrance, and Le Public Système Cinéma.  She has just taken a new position as the Head of Film and TV for the Villa Albertine in Los Angeles.Participants are encouraged to watch the film via streaming before attending the discussion.
