For those of us who missed the chance to sign up for the March 10th,
there will be a second session with the same wines.
Join Arnie Millan and Jean-Louis Bruyère
for another great wine tasting class about Tuscan Wines.
March 24th, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
at the AFKC Office
Included: wine tasting experience of five wines
from the Tuscany region’s greatest appellations and appetizers.
The class will be conducted in French and English.
Italy! The Land of the Vine, according to the ancient Greeks; nowhere else is wine so closely intertwined with daily life in every village throughout the Italian peninsula – not even France. Nowhere else is there such an enormous array of excellent native varietals.
It was mainly in Tuscany that Italian wine took off.
The variety of wine types reflects the diversity of terroirs. The Apennine mountains dominate the north and east, followed by hills in the center, volcanic formations in the south and finally the coastlines of the provinces of Livorno and Grosseto. With its rolling hills covering more than two-thirds of the region and its Mediterranean climate, Tuscany has offered ideal conditions for viticulture for thousands of years.
To learn more about the history and the taste of Tuscan wines don't miss this class.
Cost per class: $55 for AFKC Members and $75 for Non-Members.
The class will be held on Sunday 03/10/2024 from 3 to 5 pm at Alliance Française de Kansas City, 8014 State Line Road, #210, Prairie Village KS 66208.
*Please note that classes may be postponed or canceled if 6 do not sign up for any given event. You will be notified in advance.
